Atticus was the son of a Greek freedman, and was trained as a blacksmith by his father. Like his father, he disliked the mistreatment of slaves around him by Roman nobles.
Atticus highly disliked the mistreatment of slaves, like his father had, which influenced his decision to aid the rebellion in 72 BC. After the defeat of the rebellion, Atticus did all he could to help a number of surviving rebels settle in Thurii.
Atticus had typical brown hair and eyes, and was of average height and well muscled from his years as a blacksmith.
