Spartacus and his rebels attack Sinuessa en Valle

The Siege of Sinuessa en Valle was a successful seige by Spartacus and his rebel army during the Third Servile War in 72 BC. Though successful, the city was taken back from Spartacus' command by the soldiers under the command of Marcus Crassus in 71 BC.


Spartacus, along with several of his men, made their way into Sinuessa under the guise of merchants. The stayed before the curfew was permitted, finding all of the cities entry points, and Spartacus left, leaving the rest of his men in the city while he gathered his army. The rebels


The rebels stormed through the city, killing every city guard and noble they could. Any slaves they found they freed.
